Frequently asked
How do I add a receipt?
Tap the add button, then scan the receipt with the built-in document scanner or pick an existing photo from your library. Bagging reads a suggested vendor, total, and date — check them, fix anything, and save.
A detail came out wrong — can I fix it?
Yes. The confirm screen lets you edit the vendor, total, and date before you save. You can also tap any saved entry later to edit its details or delete it. Text recognition is a helpful starting point, not the last word — you're always in control of what gets saved.
How do I export my receipts?
Choose a date range and tap Export. Bagging builds a CSV spreadsheet and a printable PDF summary — each with a grand total — and hands them to the iOS share sheet, so you can email them, save to Files, or send them to your accountant.
Is my data private?
Yes. Reading the text on your receipts happens on your device. Your saved receipts and images are stored privately to your account, never sold, with no ads and no third-party trackers in the app. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I delete a receipt or my whole account?
Delete any single receipt from within the app at any time. You can also delete your entire account and all associated data from within the app — or email us from the Apple ID or Google account tied to your account and we'll remove everything within 30 days.
How do I sign in?
Sign in with Apple or Google. There's no separate account to create and no password to manage — your receipts are simply tied to whichever you choose.
What currency does it use?
Amounts are shown in Canadian dollars by default.
Does it read line items or connect to my bank?
No — and that's on purpose. Bagging records each receipt as a whole (vendor, total, and date). It doesn't capture individual line items, connect to your bank, or convert currencies. It's a simple, private keeper.
Which devices are supported?
Bagging is an iPhone app. It's built for a recent version of iOS.
